Awakenings’ Ordination Program
Awakenings Institute is a nonprofit religious organization that’s dedicated to providing a new path and presence in which likeminded holistically oriented individuals can pursue their spiritual callings.
Through ordination, Awakenings is actively creating a worldwide spiritual community. We invite upcoming spiritual leaders to join us in a spirit of openness and acceptance. Bringing together individuals with diverse backgrounds enriches the organization in its spirit of honoring the higher truths that unite us all.
In recent years, many sincere, gifted individuals have stepped forward to become ordained members with Awakenings. We look forward to connecting with many more likeminded spirits in the coming months and years.

Awakenings’ Mission
Awakenings’ mission centers on three soulful themes of service of humanity. These themes include:
- Wishing to uplift ourselves while helping others to awaken to their wholeness and purpose.
- Realizing that each of us has access to higher truth within ourselves and wanting to help those who seek our support in accessing this divine wisdom.
- Recognizing that we are collectively on a path to wholeness that can be nurtured and accelerated through the integrated awakening of the body, emotions, mind, and spirit.
Coming Together
Currently, many people like ourselves feel like isolated Islands of consciousness. If you are feeling that the forms of our society don’t have a place for you, consider this. You can be part of an organization dedicated to forging a positive path for more and more people to follow. The United States was created on the foundation of religious freedom. It allows us to freely practice our spiritual/religious beliefs and Awakenings provides a support through ordination, so you can fulfill your religious mission with freedom and integrity.
Making Positive Changes
We invite you to join us. Each of us can participate in the invention of this new religious structure, develop a tangible presence within our society. You have much to offer individually and there is also much that we can gain from each other.
As Christopher Reeve stated,

Ordination with Awakenings provides a unique opportunity for spiritual practitioners who are want to use their skills in service to others locally and, potentially, as part of our worldwide community.
Benefits of Ordination
As an ordained minister, you can realize your spiritual mission with all of the blessings provided to all ordained persons in the United States, including:
- The use of holistic practices that create wholeness and balance
- Serving others through teaching
- Performing weddings and other appropriate ceremonies
- Practicing your spiritual/ religious beliefs with all of the freedoms available with the separation of church and state
- Operating as a ministry in a legal non-profit religious organization
Spiritually and holistically oriented courses you have already taken from a variety of sources may qualify you for admission into the Ordination Program. You need a total of 450 hours of courses and experience related to your religious mission.
As mentioned, these courses do not have to be directly from Awakenings Institute. They can include programs focusing on spiritual counseling, Reiki and other forms of energy healing, hypnotherapy, holistic healing and holistic health practices, religious practices, meridian-based approaches, and much more. Please feel free to contact Awakenings to discuss your qualifications and program requirements if you have any questions as you review this information.
Ordination requires a total of 500 hours of relevant training. Awakenings Ordination Program itself qualifies for 50 of these hours and up to 50 hours of volunteer time with Awakenings may also be included in the required hours.
